On December 25, 2023, the Beijing Changier Education Foundation organized representatives of elementary, middle, and high school students from various districts in Beijing to form a young cultural envoy team. They visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to China to engage in exchange activities and were warmly received by Mr. Sergey Manassarian, the ambassador of Armenia to China. Zhang Yinjun, chairwoman of the foundation, Zhang Na, deputy director of the International Department, and Zhang Lingyan, commissioner of the Comprehensive Department led the team. Previously, Mr. Sergey Manassarian, the ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to China, was invited to visit the foundation, and both parties signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening International Cooperation for the Development of Women and Children Affairs between China APEPCY and the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to China".
Good luck +1 Financial Luck +1 Full of good luck
Ambassador Sergey Manassarian welcomed the visit of the young cultural envoys from Changier and gave them an introduction to Armenia's history, culture, resources, and humanistic customs. He also outlined the qualifications required for diplomatic personnel and encouraged the children to study hard so that they can contribute to promoting friendly exchanges among peoples of different nations in the future. The embassy meticulously prepared traditional Armenian pastries to treat the visiting delegation. Ambassador Sergey Manassarian said that as the New Year of 2024 approaches, the embassy staff specially placed a coin, symbolizing good fortune and luck, inside one of the pastries. The representative from the Chaoyang District, the elementary school student Hao Chenxi, was fortunate to eat this piece of pastry and felt the wonderful wishes and blessings it contained.
During the event, ambassador Sergey Manassarian awarded chairwoman Zhang with the certificate of honor of "Envoy of Armenia-China Friendship", expressing gratitude to the Beijing Changier Education Foundation for its efforts over the years in strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries and promoting exchange and cooperation between women and children of both nations. Chairwoman Zhang presented ambassador Sergey Manassarian with Chinese tea. She stated that in those days, China sent tea to various parts of the world via the Silk Road, also conveying the Chinese people's friendly sentiments. Closer bond between the people is the key to enhancing state-to-state relations. I hope that the children can take up the baton as envoys of friendship and make their own contributions to promoting friendly cooperation between the two countries. During the conversation, both parties engaged in cultural exchanges on multiple aspects, making further plans and discussions on matters such as international youth cultural exchange charitable activities, international teacher training, and the development of international talent cultivation models.
High school sophomores Li Zexiang and Shen Sirui had a conversation in English with ambassador Sergey Manassarian, and presented him with handmade crafts such as clay figurines and enamel dolls. Sixth-grade students Guo Renwen and Feng Qianyuan exchanged their knowledges with Armenians regarding the rich and colorful culture of Armenia and the unique charm of its language. During the talent showcase, high school representative Liu Sile presented a sketch of the ambassador's portrait created by herself, while primary school representative Hao Chenxi presented a painting and calligraphy work entitled "Beauty in Harmony, Harmony in Diversity". Chairwoman Zhang explained to ambassador Sergei Manassarian the profound implications of the concept "Beauty in Harmony, Harmony in Diversity". She said that President Xi Jinping has quoted this saying on multiple occasions, and it is also a famous quote greatly admired by the renowned Chinese sociologist, Mr. Fei Xiaotong. The main idea expressed is that the cultures of various ethnic groups, with their distinct national characteristics, have enriched world culture and jointly promoted the development and prosperity of human civilization. Only by preserving the diversity of cultures can the world become richer and vibrant. To build a community with a shared future for mankind, we should strongly advocate for the beauty in harmony and harmony in diversity.
