Beijing Changier Education Foundation was established in 2014, originated from the China A Youth AIDS Prevention Education Project (Changier Project) established in 2006. Changier Project is a charity project initiated and sponsored by the China Charity Federation and the China Education Society under the support of the central authority of Democratic Progressive Party, one of the democratic parties in China.

The exploration and practice of Beijing Changier Education Foundation in the prevention and treatment of AIDS and sex education for adolescents has been affirmed and supported by the Chinese government, public and international organizations. In 2014, Premier Li Keqiang and Vice Premier Liu Yandong gave their official support to Changier. In 2016, Michel Sidibé, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UNAIDS, affirmed that "the experience and practices of Changier in conducting HIV/AIDS prevention and sexual health education in schools deserve to be replicated around the world". Beijing Changier Education Foundation has donated and built 1,221 Changier Huts in schools and communities in 80 regions of 28 provinces across the country, set up 89 project bases and workstations, trained more than 13,000 teachers, funded more than 34,000 children and adolescents in distress, benefited more than 30 million students, teachers and parents, and developed an "anti-AIDS model via sex education" that meets the national conditions and suits Chinese teenagers.
