On 28th December 2021, the 9th UNESCO Chair in Media and Women was successfully held in Beijing. The forum was co-hosted by the China Women's University and Communication University of China, and chaired by Professor Liu Liqun, President of China Women's University and moderator of the UNESCO Chair on Media and Women. The event saw more than 30 experts and scholars from more than 10 institutions, including the UNESCO Representative Office in China discussing the topic on “Innovation and Practice of International Communication in China”.
Zhang Yinjun, Director of China Economic and Social Council, Deputy Director of the Women and Children's Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party Central Committee and Chairman of Beijing Changier Education Foundation, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech untitled "International Communication Practices from a Gender Perspective - AIDS and Chinese Women's Narrative Stories". From the perspective of women and practitioners, Zhang Yinjun shared the stories of outstanding women working on the frontline of AIDS prevention and treatment, and introduced the results of AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth. She argued that the true equality is to provide women with an opportunity to give love and wisdom, face and solve difficulties with men and build human society together.
