The 2023 World AIDS Day themed publicity month campaign launch ceremony in Hunan Province

On December 1, the launch ceremony of the 2023 World AIDS Day themed publicity event in Hunan Province was grandly held at Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology. The promotional campaign aims to further advance AIDS prevention education among young students and create a positive atmosphere for the whole society to participate in the prevention and treatment of AIDS. Xie Ying, member of the party group and deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Bureau for Disease Control and Prevention, Zhang Yinjun, member of the National Expert Group for School HIV Prevention Education of the Ministry of Education, deputy director of the Women and Children Committee of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, director of the APEPCY Office, and chairwoman of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, and Yang Shengyue, deputy mayor of People's Government of Zhuzhou City, attended the launch ceremony.

At the event, Tong He, Hunan AIDS prevention ambassador and host of Hunan TV Urban Channel, led volunteers in launching the initiative to all sectors of society. Xie Ying presented the flag to the AIDS prevention volunteer group, and provincial and municipal officials and guests distributed consolation gifts to AIDS prevention medical workers and social organization volunteers in Zhuzhou.

Special Lecture on "AIDS Prevention Knowledge and Sexual Health Education"

Sexual health is one of the most important aspects of AIDS prevention for young students. At the sub-venue in the gymnasium, the event also featured a special lecture on "HIV/AIDS Prevention Knowledge and Sexual Health Education". Experts focused on explaining the origins of HIV/AIDS, routes of transmission, and prevention measures, guiding students to recognize the dangers of HIV/AIDS, enhance their awareness of prevention, and stay away from the disease.

The unveiling of a Changier Hut in Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology

During the event, Zhang and the school authorities jointly unveiled the Changier Hut at Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology. It is reported that the school will promote the development of mental health education, family education, AIDS prevention and control, and sex education with the Changier Hut as the carrier.

The "HIV Self-Testing and Intervention Service" machine at the Changier Hut

The Zhuzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention has installed an "HIV Self-Testing and Intervention Service" machine at the Changier Hut, reminding everyone to proactively conduct HIV self-testing when necessary, to enhance their awareness of prevention and learn how to protect themselves.

Upon completion of the event, medical and health institutions at various levels in Zhuzhou also synchronized the launch of a series of activities including expert volunteer clinics, consultation, and testing services.
