On July 18th, 2016, the first seeded teacher training (summer 2016) was held in the Xiangtang Culture Village in Changping, Beijing. It was a 7-day training on AIDS prevention and control and sex health education. 42 APEPCY teachers from Henan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, Chongqing, Qinghai, Yunnan participated in the training.

Professor Zhang Meimei, director of the Sex Education Research Center of the College of Education of Capital Normal University and executive vice president of the Beijing Sex Health Education Research Association, and Liu Ying, Chen Xuan, Zhang Li, Cai Yiping, Zhen Hongli, Zang Chaoying, Chen Haiyan, Chen Yue and other well-known national AIDS prevention and sexual education experts were invited to give lessons in the training.

Base on the actual situation of AIDS prevention among young people and sex health education in schools, special topics such as "The Application of Life Skills in Sex Education Classes", "Adolescent Heterosexual Communication and Life Planning", "Sexual Education from the Perspective of Gender", students' psychosexual development and individual consultation, sexual medicine, etc.

During the training, the trainees would also design courses and activities, and practice under the guidance of experts.
