From July 15 to 19, 2023, the summer charity education activities sponsored by Beijing Changier Education Foundation (Changier) and co-organized by Sichuan Sociology of Sexuality and Sex Education Research Center, Gaoxian Women's Federation of Yibin City, and Sichuan Sex Education Association, was carried out in Taiping Village, Gaoxian, Yibin City. The activities focused on adolescent health education, imparting health concepts to children in the rural areas, helping rural construction and rural revitalization.
Focusing on Children's Health
At the lecture on adolescent health held in Gaoxian, Professor Cheng Jing from the Sichuan Sociology of Sexuality and Sex Education Research Center gave the lecture "Interpreting the Secrets of Youth – Smoothly passing Adolescence" for children and parents of Taiping Village. More than 80 people attended the lecture.
The lecture focused on three main themes: "Characteristics and changes during adolescence", "How to protect oneself during adolescence", and "Preventing bad behavior during adolescence". Using practical examples, it guided children to understand sex, taught them how to improve sexual health and respect gender differences, so to promote gender equality, enrich children's personality, and help with their cognition and communication.

Conveying Health Concepts through Games
These activities also included experience camps related to adolescent health. They were designed by a team of university student volunteers under the guidance of experts. Various interesting games were designed to help children gain knowledge about adolescent physical and mental health and to build up a good mindset.

Together for a Better Future with Friends
Members from Zhiai Club, a volunteer service club at Chengdu Technological University, conducted theme-based peer education, including themes such as "The Birth of Life" and "Preventing Sexual Assault". In addition to vivid explanations by university students who served as lecturers, there were also interactive Q&As and small gifts. Children from Taiping Village actively participated in the activities and gained knowledge about adolescent health amidst the laughter.

The tour lasted for three days and the activities were well received by over 200 local residents participated. At the same time, the volunteer team which consists of university students participated in rural revitalization activities and developed themselves through practice.
