On the evening of June 20th, 2018, at the invitation of UNAIDS in China, Zhang Yinjun, Director of AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth (APEPCY), Chairman of Beijing Changier Education Foundation, attended a meeting jointly organized by relevant United Nations agencies in Beijing. Michel Sidibé, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UNAIDS, attended the event and delivered a speech.
During the meeting, Zhang Yinjun had in-depth exchanges with Sidibe, the UNAIDS Representative in China Sang Ailing, the Technical Officer of HIV/Viral Hepatitis/TB of the World Health Organization Chen Zhongdan, the Representative of the World Health Organization in China Gao Li, Ambassador of Cameroon to China Martin Mbana, Deputy Director of the Disease Control Bureau of the National Health Commission Xia Gang, and Wu Zunyou, Chief Expert of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, etc., on the adolescent AIDS prevention and education work carried out by APEPCY. It also conducted in-depth discussions on how to achieve the 2030 "zero AIDS" goal proposed by the United Nations.
In September 2016, Michel Sidibé made a special trip to Yunnan to inspect the "Changier Hut" Project, which is carried out by APEPCY in the border areas of Yunnan, and was deeply impressed by the work on AIDS prevention and treatment education via sex education carried out by APEPCY.
