From September 20 to 28, 2024, the 27th Global Love of Lives Award Ceremony and related events organized by the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation were held in Taipei, Taiwan, China. Zhang Yinjun, President of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, became one of the awardees from the Chinese mainland this year.

At the awarding ceremony, Chou Chin-Hua, founder of the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation, read the citation stating that Ms. Zhang Yinjun, as the founder of the AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth (APEPCY), the Family and State Inheritance Maternal Love Education Innovation System Construction Project, and the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, has devoted two decades of her life to spreading boundless love among humanity. Her award for "Maternal Love Pioneer" is truly well-deserved.

In her response speech, Zhang Yinjun expressed that receiving the Global Love of Lives Award is not only an honor but also a responsibility. It is not only a recognition of her individual efforts but also an encouragement for all the colleagues in the organizations she represents, including the "APEPCY," the "Maternal Love Project," and the Beijing Changier Education Foundation.
The 27th Global Love of Lives Award Awardees Witness the Unveiling of the Maternal Love Academy at Fo Guang University
During this trip to Taiwan, the first "Maternal Love Academy" established by the Beijing Changier Education Foundation in Taiwan was unveiled at Fo Guang University. All awardees of the 27th Fervent Global Love of Lives Award participated in the unveiling ceremony and shared their life stories. Lin Hsin-Hua, Acting President of Fo Guang University, said at the unveiling ceremony that this event is a tribute to life, with over 200 teachers and students from Fo Guang University participating and witnessing this grand occasion filled with love and vitality. Xu Heling, Dean of academic affairs, emphasized that through this event they hope to deepen life education, helping students understand the preciousness of life and thus respect and cherish every life. In her speech, President Zhang Yinjun said that her wish during this trip to Taiwan is to connect the hearts of people on both sides of the Strait with true maternal love. She hopes that charity organizations on both sides of the Strait will carry out more interactions and exchanges among young people in the future, cultivating the sense of responsibility and loving heart of the younger generation of Chinese people and working together for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

During their stay in Taiwan, the awardees visited Mingcheng High School, National Tainan Girls' Senior High School, Yung Ching Senior High School, Lan Yang Branch of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Affiliated Hospital, the China Daily News, and other schools and institutions in Yilan, Tainan, Kaohsiung, and Chiayi. They shared their life stories with young Taiwanese students, donated books to hospitals, and promoted reading as a means to bring more strength and courage to patients fighting illnesses. Huang Hsin-Wen, Vice President of the Maternal Love Academy headquarters of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation and founder of Shanghai Story Mommy Studio, participated in the above activities with other awardees and taught a life education class for the children of the primary school department of Mingcheng High School together with President Zhang Yinjun.

The Global Love of Lives Award was established by the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation in Taiwan in 1997 and has been promoting the “Global Love of Lives Movement" for 27 years. The awardees span seven continents and 79 countries, with a total of 459 awardees. This ongoing charitable activity advocates for three life philosophies through the stories of global life lovers: "treat yourself kindly and cherish your own life; treat others kindly and respect their lives; treat the Earth kindly and safeguard its life." It has continuously injected positive energy into the world, inspiring respect for life and love for Earth's life. In 2024, 21 awardees of the Global Love of Lives Award from 15 countries and regions, including the Chinese mainland, Chinese Taiwan, Indonesia, Germany, Bangladesh, Mexico, and Ecuador, stood out from 3,499 candidates worldwide, witnessing the truth that life is invaluable and love knows no borders.
