From November 15 to 18, the 10th National Islamic Academic Seminar was held in Beijing. Zhang Yinjun, Council Member of the China Economic and Social Council, Deputy Director of the Women and Children Committee of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and President of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, attended the seminar and delivered a speech, comprehensively elaborating for the first time on how maternal love and maternal love education deeply facilitate dialogues among different world civilizations.

Zhang Yinjun pointed out, "Maternal love is a universally shared emotion among humans. It is an emotional bond that can break through barriers and limitations and establish long-distance connections among individuals, families, communities, countries, and civilizations." "Mothers serve as bridges that transcend culture and customs, countries and beliefs, confrontation and hatred, fostering horizontal connections across regions and cultures." "In all major civilizations of the world, mothers hold a highly respected position." "In a multidimensional community, understanding and communication between mothers can effectively pierce through unfamiliarity and barriers, achieving a connection of hearts." "Even in the darkest moments, the brilliance of mothers and maternal love can illuminate the path to peace." She quoted the famous saying of former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, "Without peace, there can be no development; without mothers, there can be no peace," emphasizing that "throughout the history of human warfare, mothers of all generations have played roles of guarding and rebuilding rather than killing and destroying." She thus concluded: It is mothers who, in a broader sense, have established and passed down the universal connections of "sympathy, compassion, and love" in human society. Regarding the historical role of mothers and maternal love, she stated unequivocally, "Mothers and maternal love are the ladder for the progress of human civilization." Through her research, she concluded: All major civilizations of the world entrust mothers and maternal love with the role and mission of inheritance—Christianity relies on mothers and maternal love to spread its teachings; Islam relies on mothers and maternal love to transmit its faith; Confucianism relies on mothers and maternal love to pass on Confucian moral and cultural beliefs; even Buddhism relies on women and mothers to enhance the enlightenment of others. Using her own Buddhist faith as an example, she noted that maternal love is the natural embodiment of compassion, akin to the selflessness and inclusiveness of Earth Mother. In modern consciousness, "The universality of maternal love echoes the orderliness of the universe, transcending the boundaries of culture and species to become the most direct bridge connecting individuals and the universe." Finally, she stated, "Maternal love requires cultivation, mothers need to learn and progress, and civilizations need the nourishment of mothers and maternal love." She pointed out that "maternal love can be innate, but it also requires acquired cultivation. Both mothers and fathers are important carriers and transmitters of maternal love." "The combination of the innate and acquired aspects of maternal love can elevate one's maternal love to a very high level." She quoted a famous line from a Nigerian poet, "Music is the soul of Africa, and maternal love is the gentlest melody of that soul," to illustrate the important role of music in cultivating the sentiment of maternal love. Before wrapping up her speech, she remarked that by drawing on the wisdom of Islamic civilization, mothers and maternal love will make the exchanges and mutual learning among different world civilizations even more splendid. "The way mothers embrace the future shapes the path our children will take." We have ample reason to believe that emphasizing maternal education and maternal love education is a vital step in the progress of human civilization. The future lies at the feet of mothers, and a bright future for humanity depends on our collective efforts.

This academic seminar was the 10th special academic conference jointly organized by the Islamic Research Office of the World Religions Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Arabic Studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University, and the Islamic Studies Committee of the Chinese Association for Religious Studies, with the theme "Chinese-style Modernization and the Systematic Advancement of the Sinicization of Islam in China." Hundreds of experts and scholars from all walks of life across the country conducted in-depth discussions on seven topics. President Zhang Yinjun's speech resonated widely with the participants, who regarded it as "a profoundly meaningful declaration of the era on maternal and maternal love education."
