From September 3 to 7, Zhu Yongxin, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Executive Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, led a consolation delegation consists of Committee on Education, Science, Health, and Sport of the National Committee of the CPPCC. They visited Zhenyuan County of Qingyang City, Jingning County of Pingliang City, and Huining County of Baiyin City in Gansu Province, conveying greetings to teachers and investigating local education situation.

The Beijing Changier Education Foundation donated a total of RMB 570,000 to Zhenyuan County. This included RMB 200,000 for teachers, 704 English dictionary pens and translation pens (worth RMB 300,180), and a "Education of Love" video course for all 49,440 primary and secondary school students in the county.
