The 46th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council has been held online from February 23rd to March 24th, 2021. Focusing on the protection of children's rights and interests, several Chinese social organizations made more than 30 video speeches at the conference, actively responding to the concerns of the international community, and explaining China's achievements in human rights development and human rights concepts.

At the meeting, Zhang Yinjun made following statement under the title "Sex Education for Children and the Protection of Children's Dignity": "According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the right to dignity of children is the basic human right that children need to protect most. I have been engaged in children's education for AIDS prevention and control for 15 years, and the most profound experience is that children's sex education is the most effective means to protect their dignity and rights. AIDS is a global infectious disease with a high mortality rate, and its greatest harm to children is the harm to human dignity. The so-called discrimination is the discrimination against the human dignity of AIDS patients. Sexual transmission is the main channel of AIDS transmission. Under a closed cultural background, sex is directly related to human dignity, especially the dignity of children, girls in particular. The HIV/AIDS prevention education model for children explored by the APEPCY focuses both on the protection of children's physical and mental health and their personal dignity. That is, through early sex education, children may stay away from the source of AIDS, so as to obtain effective protection of children's human dignity. This model of “protecting the dignity and rights of children against AIDS" has been confirmed by the UNAIDS and advocated to promote it around the world. "
